I was born in 1991 in St. Petersburg, Russia, and in 1992 moved with my family to Massachusetts, USA. I was born blind with brain malformations and diagnosed later with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I have a Savant Syndrome in Music. I play multiple instruments performing classical, jazz, tango and other genres.
I am an award-winning musician. I began piano lessons at 3.5 years old and went on to graduate from Berklee College of Music summa cum laude. I've performed with Peter Wolf, Bob Weir, and Natalie Merchant and recently released two CDs: “Flavors of the Rainbow” – solo piano classical favorites, and “Night Animals” - a spoken word with my original music to the lyrics of the American writer and spoken word artist CD Collins, performed with her in a duet. For many years, my favorite music genre has been Argentine tango. I play tango for the Argentine tango community of Massachusetts and surrounding states in a band named Boston Tango Orchestra, in a duet with an Argentinian singer, and sometimes solo.
Santon is my stage name, and I go by it in everyday life.
Besides playing music, I love dancing tango, performing acrobatics on a trapeze, windsurfing, skating, skiing, swimming, bicycling, and world traveling.
